Tombstone of the Kuczynski, Lerchenthal and Lyon families

The plinth with flat panel, on it for the full length of the plinth a tall coffin-shaped jardiniere, at the head a tall stele on a base terminating in a triangle, on the corners acroterions, on the plinth a fence of cast-iron rods in the shape of stylised flowers. White marble slab, on the front of the enclosure with a palm branch and on the right the Croix de Guerre with palm and two stars, and on the right the Legion of Honour. Inscriptions: on the stele (1) and on the plaque fixed to the front of the fence (2).

The gravestone has three lines with dates and places, connected by a bracket, with a single date of 1914.

Lucie Marcelle Kuczynski, born on 21 August 1882 in Paris, daughter of Adolphe Kuczynski, aged 36, bronze merchant (marchand de bronzes), and Berthe Lyon, aged 26, without profession, residing at 25 rue Béranger. Witnesses to the notification of her birth were Paul Marie Saint Germain, aged 43, rubber merchant (négociant en caoutchouc), residing in Paris at 2 rue Barbette, and Murtil Hersh, aged 37, jewellery maker (fabricant de bijouterie), residing in Paris at 19 rue de Réaumur (AdP AD Paris 3e No. 1627 of 1882). She died on 22 May 1886 at her parents' home at 25 rue Béranger; witnesses to the notification of her death were Raphael Beer, 60, pensioner, resident at 62 rue Notre Dame de Nazareth, and Charles Loua, 53, clerk, resident at 134 rue de Turenne (AdP AD Paris 3 No. 748 of 1886). Buried on 23 May 1886 (concession no. 895-1872).

Jules David Lyon, born 12 December 1858 in Paris, died 8 November 1918 in the 16th arrondissement of Paris at the age of 59. Bank clerk, son of Maurice Moyse-Lyon (1815-1897) and Cunégonde Isidor (b. 1825). Husband of Marguerite Sarah Lerchenthal (1867-1954), whom he married on 7 May 1890 in the 7th arrondissement of Paris. The marriage produced children Marie Anne Lyon (1891-1981), Jacques Louis Lyon (1892-1917), Georgette Lyon (1898-1966) and Maurice Lyon (1900-1980).

Mathilde Lyon, ir. 27 November 1845 in the 8th arrondissement of Paris, died 18 March 1935 in the 16th arrondissement of Paris at the age of 89. Daughter of Maurice Moyse-Lyon (1815-1897) and Cunégonde Isidor (b. 1825). Wife of Haymann Lerchenthal (1834-1907), whom she married on 6 March 1866 in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. The marriage produced children Marguerite Sarah Lerchenthal (1867-1954) and Lucie Fradel Lerchenthal (1868-1882).

Marguerite Sarah Lyon, née Lerchenthal, born on 3 January 1867 in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris, died on 14 August 1954 in the 16th arrondissement of Paris at the age of 87. Daughter of Haymann Lerchenthal (1834-1907) and Mathilde Lyon (1845-1935). Wife of Jules David Lyon.

Georgette Lyon, born 30 April 1898 in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, died 24 April 1966 in the 8th arrondissement of Paris at the age of 67. Daughter of Jules David Lyon and Marguerite Sarah Lerchenthal. Wife of Jacques Michel Adolphe Lazard (1891-1938), whom she married on 8 February 1938 in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris. Sister of Maurice Lyon and Jacques Lyon.

Maurice Lyon, born on 13 March 1900 in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, died on 25 July 1980 in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. Son of Jules David Lyon and Marguerite Sarah Lerchenthal. Brother of Georgette Lyon and Jacques Lyon.

Jacques Louis Lyon, born 18 October 1892 in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, died 3 June 1917 at Fleury-devant-Douaumont, Meuse (Lorraine). Second lieutenant, killed in the First World War (Mort pour la France, Tué à l'ennemi). Son of Jules David Lyon and Marguerite Sarah Lerchenthal. Brother of Georgette Lyon and Maurice Lyon.
