Tombstone of the Gaudin family

Karviná | Czech Republic

Burial place marked by a gravestone on a high base, at the head of which is a cross on a plinth and base. Cross on plinth. At the intersection of the cross arms a ceramic medallion with the head of Christ, wearing a crown of thorns. The cross framed on the sides to the height of the cross-beam by perpendiculars, on which a relief is excavated from the glazed background. On left: Esculapius, pen, book, on right: pincers, unrolled scroll of paper, hammer, scissors (?). At the edges of the stele, on the left an inscription in engraving (1), on the right an inscription in engraving (2). Plinth consisting of three blocks. On a tombstone consisting of several slabs a narrower slab.
