The unveiling of the statue of Tadeusz Kościuszko in Boston.

Around 50,000 Poles attended the unveiling of the Tadeusz Kościuszko monument. The monument was consecrated by Cardinal O'Connell, followed by a parade in which 10,000 Polish children and Falcons with 67 orchestras and 200 banners took part. The statue, which is the work of sculptor Kittson, was placed in the garden next to the Washington Monument. During the unveiling of the monument, the military paid their respects. A banquet was held in the evening.
