Dedication of the school-monument in Borszczów.

On 12 May this year, which was the fourth anniversary of the great Marshal's death, apart from the mourning ceremonies organised according to the All-Polish programme, a ceremony was held in Borszczów to consecrate and hand over to the town the magnificent building of the female primary school built in 1936 with contributions from officers and privates of the Polish Army. As a living memorial to Marshal Pilsudski, the cost of the building was around 50,000 zloty, of which 30,000 zloty was covered by contributions, and 20,000 zloty by donations from the labour fund. The school's consecration ceremony was attended by the Provincial Commander as a representative of the Headquarters.

After funeral services for the souls of the great marshal, parish priests of both rites consecrated the building. In turn, the district governor, Mr J. Ray, as chairman of the school building committee, unveiled a plaque on the front of the building declaring that, on the basis of the approval of the Supreme Committee for the Commemoration of Marshal Piłsudski, the school had been named after the great Marshal. This was followed by a speech naming the school after the founders by Inspector Mr Misiewicz, who formally handed over the building to the town. On behalf of the town and the public, Councillor Mr Czeslaw Sekura and on behalf of the school authorities a speech was made to the children by School Inspector Mr Przybylewicz.

The service was addressed by a schoolgirl who also presented the school inspector with the amount collected by the schoolgirls for the P. O. N. The girl's nice speech was applauded, after which the school choir concluded the ceremony by singing several songs.

The school - monument in Borszczow is not only the best tribute to the memory of the great teacher of the nation, but also a lasting proof of the sacrifice of the Polish policeman.
