A plaque commemorating Adam Mickiewicz's stay in Eupatoria in 1825 is located on the wall of a building at 53 Karaimska Street. The house belonged to Haji-Agi Babovich, the town's mayor, who spoke Polish and made the acquaintance of the poet. A plaque was erected in 2002. There were plans to create a Mickiewicz museum in the building, but the plans were thwarted by the war.
