Excerpts from the Polish chronicles in the magazine "News from Poland". This issue describes an exhibition of Polish painting in Rio de Janeiro. It featured the paintings of B. Lechowski, a traveller painter who had already been painting and creating in Brazil for some time. New Warsaw.

In northern Parana there is a Polish colony called Nowa Warszawa. It is inhabited by 35 Polish families, very well organised socially. An agricultural society has recently been founded there, and the colony, having bought land, intends to build a school and a church. However, the lack of a Polish priest is felt. Our compatriots in N. Our compatriots in N. Warsaw are doing very well, as the land is fertile and all kinds of crops are successful here.

New Polish mission in Brazil

In Rio Grande do Sul (southern Brazil), there are reports of the establishment of the first Polish Union House, built through the efforts of all the Polish associations in the district. The impressive edifice, which will house the new centre of Polish culture, has recently been consecrated there, in the presence of representatives of the local authorities and a delegate from the Union of Polish Associations.
