Tombstone of Ewa Podczaszyńska

The burial place is marked by a stele on a pedestal and base in a common band with gravestone number 028. The stele is closed gabled with volutes. On the stele a carved cross on the front, where at the intersection of the arms the mount is visible after the figure of Christ, below it an inscription in engraving (1), also on the sides (2,3), with a monogram on the back (4).

1. Pod tym Znakiem / Zbawienia / spoczywa Ciało S. P. /Ewy / PODCZASZYŃSKIEJ / urodziła się 9 Stycznia 1800 / + 6 Października 1855r. //.
2. Wieczne odpoczywanie / racz jej dać Panie / a światłość wiekuista / niechaj jej świeci / na wieki ! //.
3. Wielbi dusza moja Pana / rozradował się duch mój / w Bogu Zbawicielu mojm / bo wejrzał na nizkość / służebnicy swojej //.
4. Jednej / z najzacniejszych / Żonie / i Matce //.

All inscriptions except the fifth line in inscription no. 1 are in italics. In Wacław Wejtka's file, under the letter Po, card no. 21. The card lacks the date of its foundation and the location of the gravestone. Underneath the inscriptions that are in the base, the inscription: 'Eve dear, to your blissful memory / This monument beholds the tender gratitude sacred / Honouring your virtues which offices honoured / And alien to you were human errors. / Of pride, exultation, anger or jealousy / Ready to forgive for love's sake / Of shining virtue for others / Full of desire for good. / Thou art the pearl of the world and its adornment. / Our prayers to the Creator are for thee, / May heaven be a comfort to thee today, / For the hardships of life an everlasting reward...".
