Biography:

Julisz Hochberger (1840-1905), born in Poznan. In 1859 he moved to Berlin to continue his education at the Royal Academy of Building. In 1866 he was awarded a silver medal in a competition held to mark the anniversary of Karl Friedrich Schinkel's death. He was a multi-talented architect and designed churches, bridges, roads, hospitals, railway stations and train stations, among other things. From 1872 onwards, he served for thirty years as the head of the Municipal Building Office in Lviv. In 1877 he joined the Polytechnic Society of Lviv.
