Kosciuszko Bridge

The Kosciuszko Bridge is a suspension bridge connecting the boroughs of Queens and Brooklyn in New York City. The bridge consists of a pair of suspended spans: the eastbound span opened in April 2017 and the westbound span opened in August 2019. An older truss bridge of the same name, which was on the site of the westbound span, opened in 1939 and was demolished in 2017.

'Herby Polskie' fabric at the Kosciuszko Foundation headquarters

At the headquarters of the Kosciuszko Foundation in New York there is a textile entitled 'Herby Polskie'. This work was exhibited in the Polish Pavilion at the World Exhibition in New York in 1939-1940. Due to the ongoing Second World War, it did not return to Poland. The tapestry is currently housed in the Foundation's secretariat. The fabric was made using a precise technique and depicts 21 Polish coats of arms, arranged in three rows, seven in each row.

There is a statue of Tadeusz Kościuszko in Detroit. The work was created as a gift of Cracovians to the large Polish community living in Detroit. The idea of the gift was connected with the celebration of the bicentennial of the founding of the United States. The sculpture, depicting the national hero of both countries, was modelled on a model by Leonardo Marconi from 1889, intended for Wawel Hill. The work was unveiled in 1978.

The statue of Tadeusz Kosciuszko in Cleveland. It was placed in Wade Park on 8 May 1905. Made in 1904, the author was Gaitano Trentanove. The work was funded by Cleveland residents with Polish roots.

"Kosciuszko" poster at Newfields Museum of Art
Indianapolis
1914-1918

The Newfields Museum of Art in Indianapolis has a poster entitled. "Kosciuszko." The print, done in lithography, was created around 1914-1918, commissioned by the United States Food Administration. The work commemorates two heroes of the struggle for the freedom of nations: Tadeusz Kosciuszko and Casimir Pulaski. The poster misspelled the latter's name.
