Anatole Okolovich (1840-1905), born in Vierzon, son of John Okolovich and Joséphin Clémence Canuet, brother of Augustus Adolphe, Edward Gustave (1842-1888), Ferdinand (1852-1884), George (died 10 October 1870), Charles (1846-1871) and Alfred Augustus (b. 1863), and Marie Amelie (b. 1856). A chemist by training, he served as a director of Parisian theatres: Théâtre des Écoles, Théâtre de l'Athénée, Théâtre de l'Ambigu and then Théâtre de la Renaissance. He was a participant in the Franco-Prussian War, was arrested and then released from the captivity of Versailles. He also took part in the Paris Commune. On 1 September 1870, together with his brothers Edward, August, Charles, Ferdinand and George, he signed an appeal to the Poles to fight for France ("Echo d'Oran").

He was a writer and contributor to the press. Edward, his brother, was a dramatic actor and composer of music, including for the vaudeville Les Boussigneul (1880), and composed in Paris in 1886. Ferdinand was imprisoned in New Caledonia after the Paris Commune, Charles was executed at Vincennes, George was killed at the Battle of Arthénay, August was a general of the Paris Commune.

Anatole Okolovich first married Hérmandine Guérin in 1878 in Paris (9th arrondissement); his wife died on 18 July 1891. He then married, on 25 November 1891, in Paris (17th arrondissement), Louise Amélie Kuhn (born 25 June 1848), daughter of Étienne Kuhn and Louise Berthelet, widow of Emil Gabriel Naudin.

He died on 4 March 1905 at the age of 65 at his home at No. 35 rue de Martyrs in Paris (9th arrondissement). He was buried on 6 March 1905 in the Trouvain crypt and exhumed on 25 March 1905 at no. 2276 to his present grave. The death was reported by Georges Okolowicz.
