Early 20th century: on a high pedestal, a tall tumulus with a lid on which a second tumulus on a stepped base topped with a lid under which is a quoque fascia with acroterions at the corners, a tympanum on each side of the lid, a cross in the middle of the lid, on each side of the tumulus are stepped rectangular panels filled with inscription plaques.

Present day: on the pedestal a stepped, slightly sloping slab with a medallion at the top left. The inscription on the slab to the left, above the inscription a bronze medallion with the likeness of Adolf Cichowski.

In July 1987 a marble slab was found near this grave, broken into many pieces and bearing an inscription similar in wording to the one quoted above, although illegible in places. This may have been the inscription originally found on the gravestone
