A short note, accompanied by a woodcut, describes the hunting manor house where John III Sobieski is said to have visited. The manor house is located near Lviv. The manor house in Yavoriv, once inhabited by King John III

It is known that John III liked to stay in the former Red Ruthenia, today's Galicia. The fact that his hometown, Olesko, was there, and the fact that families related to him came from there: the Buchacki, Daniłowicz, Potocki, Żółkiewski, Jabłonowski and Koniecpolscy families. Wije, Lviv, Żółkiew, Złoczów were his favourite places.
However, it was not always the needs of war that kept the king there; sometimes he also wanted to rest after the hardships, and then he usually went down to Yavoriv near Lviv, where the hunter's manor where he lived still stands. From the high shore on which this building rises, there is a nice view of the pond and the distant surroundings. They also show the place where the royal villa used to stand, on a hill, flanked by a river called "Glass".
The hunting lodge is timber-framed inside and bricked outside; it has vaulted windows. The main door on the west leads into the vestibule, and the whole building is surrounded by old lime trees.
