Monument to Tadeusz Kosciuszko in Sambor

In 1906, a monument to Tadeusz Kościuszko, designed by sculptor Tadeusz Błotnicki, was unveiled in Sambor. The monument was made of white Pińczów stone. A full-figure representation of Kosciuszko, it was placed on a solid pedestal. A plaque with an inscription was placed on the front of the pedestal, and three of its sides were decorated with the inscription: "Ziemia Samborska / To Tadeusz Kościuszko / r.p. 1906". The fourth side of the pedestal was decorated with a bas-relief of a deer, symbolising Sambor's coat of arms. The commemoration was probably destroyed during World War II.
