The memo informs about the approved project to build a monument to the Lviv Eaglets in the garden of the Polytechnic from the side of the former Zachariewicza Street in Lviv. The first cemetery for the victims of that war was created in this place during the Defense of Lviv. The creator of the monument unveiled on 22 November 1925 was Wincenty Witold Erazm Rawski. The monument was destroyed after the Second World War. At a meeting of the committee for the construction of a monument to the "Eaglets" next to the Lviv Polytechnic (on the site where the cross stands today, to commemorate the cemetery of those who died in the defense of Lviv that existed there in the first days of November 1918), a project for a monument was approved, drawn up by Mr. Rawski, and it was decided to lay the cornerstone on September 15. 15 September, and to combine the unveiling of the monument with the celebration of the defence of Lviv d. 22 November this year.
