In the second half of the 19th century, the Antonines became the property of the Potocki family. The period of greatest prosperity fell during the management of the estate by Józef Mikołaj Potocki and his wife Helena née Radziwiłłów, i.e. from the 1880s until the outbreak of the First World War. During this time, the Antonine residence and the entire surrounding area were modernised, and new buildings were added. One of these was the Marszałkówka villa, erected near the entrance gate to the palace courtyard, intended for the court marshal. The villa was built in 1900 to a design by French architect François Arveuf. Many of the buildings that gave the Antonines their splendour, including the 18th century palace, were destroyed by Bolshevik soldiers in 1919. Villa Marszałkówka, however, survived and still exists today. In archive photographs from around 1910, we can see this building in excellent condition, surrounded by greenery, as a testament to the splendour of the former residence.
