People's House and School in Zagórze near Lviv.

In the Zagórze municipality of Sokolniki near Lviv, a solemn ceremony was held for the consecration of the newly built TSL school and People's House. The act of consecration was performed by Rev. Canon Gieszczyński from Volkov. The ceremony was attended and delivered commemorative speeches by, among others, the deputy district governor, Dr Dembowski, named after the corps commander, General Tokarzewski, Capt Chendzyński, and the school sub-inspector, Mr Dulembowski. The ceremony was also attended by a large number of invited guests from Lviv and the surrounding area: the Madejewskis from Tolstyshchow, Mr Zahaczewski, the heads of the schools: Mr Szymanski, Mr Johann, Mr Czarniecki, Dr Bętkowski and others.

The ceremony was enhanced by successful declamations and choral singing of the local school children. Credit for the construction of the school must be given to the local school headmistress, Mrs Paulina Mosiorowa, and the Building Committee headed by Mr Antoni Karpinski. The funds for the construction of the school were collected partly from the inhabitants of the Zagórze district, and partly from the Society for the Support of the Construction of Public Common Schools. The People's House was built on the initiative of the local TSL Reading Centre headed by Mr Stanisław Zaleski, and with the financial support of the TSL Board, and in particular of Director Dr Uhma. The ceremony, which turned out very well, was attended by a large crowd of people from the local area and neighbouring villages, headed by the mayor and head of the village, as well as the Voluntary Fire Brigade.
