In 1781, during King Stanislaw August Poniatowski's visit to Kamieniec Podolski, the monarch stayed in an apartment house belonging to Shadbej, located on the market square. This event was commemorated with a plaque that was placed on the façade of the building. In later years, the tenement also housed a pharmacy.
