The consecration of the new church in Yazlovchyk.

In the village of Jazlovchyk, Brody district, a ceremony was held to consecrate a new church, built in the beautiful Zakopane style. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the civil and military authorities headed by Mr. Starosta Gradowski, Col. Jasiewicz and Mgr. Jeżowski. Present with their banners were: the infantry, the Riflemen's and Women's Riflemen's Associations, the Sokol, the Fire Brigade, the Star Association, numerous Polish and Ruthenian processions, including those from Brody and Berlin, and countless peasants from near and far.

The festivities began with a welcome to the delegation by the main initiator and creator of the church, Mr Alfons Bednarowski, followed by the consecration act by Father Chowaniec, and the commemorative sermon by Father Wittek. Throughout the ceremony a military band played and a choir sang under the direction of Mr Begin. The whole event was impressive. It should be noted that the whole local population with their zealous collaborators Tymczuk and Broczkowski participated in the construction of the temple.

Today, this collective effort benefits not only the local population, but also the Polish population from the surrounding villages who do not yet have their own churches. May this work of people of good will, who are building bastions of Catholic faith and Polishness in the Borderlands, become a worthy example for others.
