Consecration of the Polish House in Argentina.

The grand opening and consecration of the Polish House took place here. The ceremony was attended by the Plenipotentiary Minister of the R. P, Minister Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland, Mr Władysław Mazurkiewicz and his wife, the Secretary and Attaché of the Polish Embassy, Mr J. C. Stempowski and Mr S. Siemieński, the Consul of the Republic of Poland, Mr W. Kicki, the Counsellor in Exile, Mr M. Pankiewicz, the foundress, Mrs A. B. de Rocca, the First Consul of the Republic of Poland in Buenos Aires, Mr W. Szulc-Sulk, representatives of Polish associations and organisations, the Polish and national press, officials of the Polish Embassy and Consulate, members of the management of the P. K. O. and a large Polish colony.

The ceremony began with a speech by the secretary of the Union of Polish Societies and Organisations "Polish Home", Mr S. Pyski, followed by a commemorative speech by the Polish Minister Plenipotentiary, Mr W. Mazurkiewicz. This was followed by speeches by the emigration councillor, Mr M. Pankiewicz, and the donor, Mrs Aniela B. de Rocca. After the speeches, the Board of Directors of the Federation of Polish Societies and Organisations "Polish Home" presented the Diploma of Honour of the President of the institution to Mrs Aniela B. de Rocca. On the occasion of the opening of the Polish House in Buenos Aires, numerous favourable notes were published in the local press, together with pictures of the celebration.
