Construction of the Church of Our Lady of the Dawn Gate in Lviv

The note concerns the planned construction of the Church of Our Lady of the Dawn Gate in Lviv (now the Church of the Protection of Our Lady) according to a project by Tadeusz Obminski. The church was built in 1931-1934 and was founded by the inhabitants of Lviv in gratitude for the protection of Lviv during the battles for the city in 1918-1920. Church construction.

A civic rally for the construction of a church dedicated to Our Lady of the Dawn Gate was held in the Sokół IV hall. The rally was honoured by the presence of His Eminence Bishop Lisowski. After a presentation of the committee's activities so far, the design of the temple, made by the Lviv Polytechnic Prof. Obminskiy, was agreed upon, and the matter of raising funds for the construction through contributions, collections, etc. was discussed.
