General Krzyżanowski's ashes
BURIED IN A GRAVE AT THE NATIONAL CEMETERY IN WASHINGTON.

New York, 12.10. - On Monday at noon, the ashes of General Vladimir Krzyzanowski were laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington. The ceremony was attended by Ambassador R.P. Potocki and the entire embassy staff, 2,000 Poles from all states, delegations of Polish veterans, scouts, etc. The Minister of War was represented by Brigadier General Merrill. On the arrival of Ambassador Potocki, the orchestra played the Polish national anthem.

Present at the ceremony were Krzyzanowski's 80-year-old son and three of his granddaughters, who reside in California: Klina Potter, Helena Vondrea and Nf Sage. Ambassador Potocki spoke at the graveside and President Roosevelt gave a radio broadcast speech from the White House. Countless wreaths were laid on the grave, including one from Ambassador Potocki on behalf of the Polish Government. After the ceremony in the cemetery, Counsellor Wańkowicz and Colonel Chmiele laid wreaths at the foot of the Pulaski and Kosciuszko monuments. A reception attended by 1,500 people was held at the embassy.

In the evening, there was a banquet in Washington organised by the local Polish National Union group, at which President Roosevelt's letter to the Governor of the "Federal Reserve", Szymczak, was read. The New York press discusses the President's speech in prominent places, emphasising its momentous ideals.
