The short text mentions the ceremony of the consecration of the cornerstone for the construction of a church in the village of Ludvikowka in the Ternopil district (Source: "Wschód", Lviv 1937, no. 60, p. 9, after: Jagiellonian Digital Library).

The consecration of the cornerstone of the church in Ludwikówka.

The village of Lyudvikivka, located on the southern border of the Ternopil district, boasts a beautiful ceremony for the consecration of the cornerstone of the church under construction there, which took place on 5 September this year with the very large participation of the Polish population from the entire area and even from the Trembowel district. The ceremony began with a service at the field altar erected on the walls of the church under construction, celebrated by Rev. Canon Niedzielski of Mikuliniec.

The Rev. Dean Paprocki from Trembowla, Rev. Garścia, parish priest from Ladysmith, and the Rev. Pastor from Zazdrości, who came to Ludwikowka with the procession, took part in the ceremony. Shooting orchestras from Ladyczyn and Zazdrości played during the service. During the service, Fr Garścia gave a beautiful commemorative sermon. After the service and the laying of the foundation stone, the priests consecrated the cornerstone, after which the Ternopil starost, Karol Adamski, spoke warmly to those gathered, pointing out that on the line of the site on which the church in Ludvikivka is being built, in 1920 a fierce battle was fought to stop the Bolsheviks breaking into Malopolska in order to incorporate it into Soviet Russia, and that he took part in this battle as commander of a company, from which several of his soldiers lost their lives at the time, including one of his officers.

Therefore, this ceremony, although it is a great event, edifying for all Poles, has a special meaning for him, because before his eyes, on the site of the heavy fighting with the enemy, or on the site where he fought a fierce battle with the Bolsheviks in 1920, a church is now being built, from which prayers will flow for Poland and for its strong position. At the end of the ceremony, the hymn "Boże, coś Polskę" (God, Thou who Poland) was sung. From thousands of Polish breasts flowed the sorrowful song for Poland in great concentration and solemnity.
