A modernised reading of the text

The collections and memorabilia were out of legal custody during the month.

Bishop Bandurski's family insisted that the inheritance laws be expedited, but to no avail. Meanwhile, the transfer of the property from one premises to another inside the palace began. Why and what for? The Committee for the Commemoration of Bishop Bandurski wanted to take care of the monuments and memorabilia and move them to a suitable place. Unfortunately, the committee was refused by the court for formal reasons. However, this did not stop the committee from moving the collection on its own twice, once to the library and the second time to the unfortunate curdegarden, full of damp and water.

We do not think that the fact of the destruction of the collection, which is the property of an entire Nation, could have escaped unpunished. If not the family, then the committee commemorating Bishop Bandurski should hold the direct perpetrators of the destruction accountable.
