The note concerns the announcement of a new competition for a monument to Adam Mickiewicz in Vilnius. The previous one was won by a project by Stanisław Szukalski, but the committee for the monument under the chairmanship of General Lucjan Żeligowski abandoned it and held a new competition. Monument to Adam Mickiewicz.

At a meeting held in mid-March this year under the chairmanship of General Lucjan Żeligowski, the Committee for the Construction of this monument in Vilnius decided to hold a new competition for the design of the monument. As is known, Mr Szukalski was awarded first prize in the first competition, but the Committee decided not to carry out this project.
